GUIDELINES FOR ABSTRACTS



Eligibility Criteria

  1. Abstracts must be of original research and should NOT have been published at any local or international scientific journal and conferences. It should not be submitted if it has been more than 5 years from completion of manuscript.
  2. At least one of the authors MUST register for the conference. It is preferable for the presenting authors to participate in the conference to present their findings.
  3. Participants may submit more than ONE abstract.
  4. All clinical studies will be considered. This includes observational or interventional studies, cross sectional surveys, case series, and case reports.
  5. The Scientific Committee reserves the right to decide on the acceptance of abstracts for oral/poster/e-poster presentation.

Submission Guidelines

  1. Word Limit: 500 words (not including title and authors) in a PDF file. Abstracts should be organized into the following sections: Introduction, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
  2. All abstracts must be written and presented in ENGLISH.
  3. All abstracts must be submitted online. Please label file name as follows: PRESENTER LAST NAME_ TITLE.
  4. LAST CALL FOR ABSTRACTS: Entries must be submitted by 10 October 2025, 23:59 hrs (PH time, GMT+8). A letter of acknowledgment will be sent to the participants once the abstract has been received by the Secretariat.
  5. Hard copy submissions will not be accepted. Incomplete abstracts may not be considered and abstract revisions after the deadline will also not be accommodated.
  6. The Secretariat will notify participants regarding the results of their submission via email on or before 15 October 2025.
  7. The presenting authors MUST register for the congress latest by 01 November 2025, 23:59 hrs (PH time, GMT+8).

CATEGORIES

There will be three (3) categories for research presentation during the congress. You may indicate your preferred category upon submission. However, your abstract may be assigned to any category after final review of the ATCSA Research Committee.

E-Poster Presentation

  • To promote sustainability, ATCSA 2025 will not be using hardcopy poster printouts, hence e-posters will be used instead. The official template with pre-determined dimensions and specifications is attached below and maybe downloaded.

  • Soft copy of the poster must be submitted ahead of the congress to research@atcsa2025manila.org.
    Please indicate the category for which the submission is intended, including the general topic. File name should be: POSTER_DATE_PRESENTER LAST NAME.

  • Deadline for the submission of the soft copy of posters is on 31 October 2025, 11:59 pm (PHT). Posters submitted after this date will not be displayed.

  • Any of the listed authors may present during the poster presentation sessions. The presenter should be registered in the main program of ATCSA 2025. Deadline for registration of the presenter is on 01 November 2025, 11:59 pm (PHT).

  • After plenary sessions, there will be a dedicated period for poster viewing, where the authors can discuss their cases and answer questions from the audience.

  • Each representing author will be given a 10-minute time slot for poster presentation, wherein attendance is required.

  • Further details regarding the location and timing of the presentation will be shared closer to the Congress. If you are unable to attend the Congress in person, please nominate a co-author to attend on your behalf.

  • Abstract and accompanying illustrations shall be presented in the following:
    o Portrait, 790 px by 884 px
    o Arial, font size 13
    o Submit as a powerpoint file (Filename .ppt or .pptx)
    o Oral presenters are required to use the official ATCSA 2025 presentation template, which can be downloaded HERE

  • Allocate the top of the poster for the title and author(s) as stated in the image.

  • The text, illustrations, etc., must be of high resolution and shown clearly on the poster.

Oral Free Paper Presentation

  • Oral presentations for ATCSA 2025 are divided into two categories: Free Paper Presentation (multiple sessions), and Young Investigators Award.

  • Any of the listed authors may present during the oral presentation sessions. The presenter should be registered in the main program of ATCSA 2025. Deadline for registration of the presenter is on 01 November 2025, 11:59 pm (PHT).

  • Oral presenters are required to use the official ATCSA 2025 presentation template, which can be downloaded HERE

  • Disclosures and conflicts of interest must be included at the start of the presentation.

  • File name should be: FREE_DATE_PRESENTER LAST NAME

  • Presentations should be saved in Microsoft Powerpoint format (filename.ppt or .pptx). Keynote or Canva presentation will not be accepted.

  • A maximum of 8 minutes is allowed for free paper presentations. A maximum of 10 minutes is allowed for Young Investigators Award presentations. A 2-minute question and answer portion will follow each presentation.

  • Slides for oral presentation must be submitted ahead of the congress via e-mail to: research@atcsa2025manila.org
    Please indicate the category for which the submission is intended, including the general topic. Deadline for submission: 31 October 2025, 11:59 pm (PHT)

  • All oral presenters are required to check-in at the Speaker Preparation Room at least 6 hours before the start of their session to ensure that their presentation is properly loaded and working. Minimal changes to the submitted presentations will be allowed at this time.

  • Use of personal laptops or USB drives is not permissible during the presentation proper.

Young Investigators Award

  • TThe Young Investigators Award (YIA) aims to encourage and recognize the work of young investigators and their parent institutions.

  • Criteria for Qualification:
    o Age limit: Presenters must be 40 years old or younger at the time of presentation.
    o Authorship: The presenter must be the main author of the submitted work.
    o Contribution: The presenter must have made a substantial contribution to the research work submitted

  • Guidelines for the YIA presentation is the same as for the oral free paper presentation.

  • File name should be: YIA_DATE_PRESENTER LAST NAME
